And here I am, thinking
Smiling or crying
I can’t understand all that’s come to be
The last petal of the rose is falling
The sound of the tear you gave to me

A sudden rainbow painted the sky
It caught my eye, and your gaze shifted too
You slipped on your shoes
And grabbed your backpack
Created arcs in the universe
That no longer aligned with you

They erased the stars
I placed in the sky for you
They scribbled on the walls
Of the house we never built, it’s true
They unraveled the beauty
Of that angel who, for me
Will never smile again

Walking this road, trying to find
Answers to everything as time unwinds
Life slips away like sand in my hands
But I move forward, seeking where I stand

The past is a shadow that tries to take hold
But I won’t look back, I'm ready to soar
Each tear is a step toward my evolution
Each smile, a question without resolution

Life’s a battle, an endless game
And I'm in the ring, fighting for my name
On the street, on the beat, in the rhythm I find
I turn pain into poetry, redefining my mind

I carve my dreams on the wall of time
Sketching new hopes in the whispers of the wind
With every stumble, I rise up stronger
In rhyme, in struggle, I find my center
